History of Auto Wire Setting :

In 1989 Carlo Donadon invented a system for automatic setting of hotwires on EPS cutting machines and put a patent on it. Most of today´s systems for auto wire spacing derive from this idea, only now DONADON has designed a new way to make life easier with setting the cutting wires to the required distance.

Wire magazine :

This is the traditional way to set cutting wires to the required disctance (layout - top view). the cutting wire is held by springs, the power is transferred via the brass connectors. If you want to accommodate up to 70 wires, and each wire holder has a thickness of 10mm this adds up to 700mm magazine height - add this to the height of your cutting frame and then imagine, that contour cutters have to move this fame up for another 1.300mm.

The new system for automatic wire setting :

The advantages of the new DONADON system are evident :

70 wires can be accommodated in a revolver type [635 KB] of magazine, which does not take so much space and can be moved to the place, where the wire is needed.
Or the cutting frame is moved, when the magazine is staionary.
