Standard cutting lines must include a block magazine for intermediate storage of blocks, mostly in vertical position, a tilter to tip the block into horizontal position, including a sytem to center or align the block, the horizontal cutting station for sheet cutting, the vertical wire station for trimming, a fast forward conveyor to the formatting station which can be equipped as down/up or cross-cutter and finally a material discharge table or roller conveyor used as a buffer station before the material handling and packing systems (or the operator) takes over.

In between the three main stations (horizontal, vertical and formatting station) the scraps from all the six sides of the block (bottom, top, left, right, front and end) can be collected automatically and moved into scrap grinders. systems like this are of course more expensive but work fully automatically. Also the plant looks nicer, if the scrap does not fill the floor.
