The most important feature of a prebreaker grinder is its power : If you want to grind big chunks of EPS, which fall off your contour cutter, no matter if it is 10 or 35kg/m3, you don´t want to get stuck with this small "grandmother´s coffee grinder type" or a dust-producing-hammer-mill, no :
You need the REAL grinder, comminuting up to 20m3/h of EPS scrap pieces to granules, featuring a quick change screen system.
You need the VBM 1350, based on the design of the good old WIESER grinders.
Although a screen with 12mm holes will not make very much dust, the smaller screen sizes will, so a de-duster is highly recommended.
New slow-rotating prebreaker/grinders are more expensive, but make almost NO dust : download the brochure of the VIRO VBM 1350 [3.149 KB]

For proper mixture of EPS regrind and virgin material you will need a MIXING and BLENDING station such as the STARMIX system, built by VIRO :
2 Silos with 5 m3 volume each are filled with material (virgin and regrind), rotary airlocks ensure proper mixing according to the percentage ( 0 - 50%) as selected on the control panel. Capacity of up to 150m3/h is just enough to fill the cavities of standard moulds. |
